Moldovan Wine is an independent online guide dedicated to one of Europe’s oldest — and still most underappreciated — wine cultures. From our pages, readers around the world can discover the wines of the Republic of Moldova: the regions that shape them, the indigenous grapes that make them unique, and the cellars and people behind every bottle.
Our Mission
Moldova has been making wine for thousands of years, yet for many wine lovers its bottles remain a mystery. Our mission is to change that. We document and promote Moldovan wine culture for an international audience — accurately, accessibly, and without hype. We believe that a small country with the highest density of vineyards in the world, cellars that stretch for hundreds of kilometres underground, and grape varieties found almost nowhere else deserves a clear, trustworthy voice online.

Independent and Reader-First
Moldovan Wine is editorially independent. We are not owned by a winery, an importer, or a tourism agency, and no producer can pay to change what we write. Our content is researched from official sources, established wine publications, and winery materials, and we correct errors openly when readers point them out. You can read more about how we work in our Editorial Policy.
